8 weeks to 2 years
Children start developing from the day they are conceived. Your baby will be in the loving care of educators that are experienced in this age group and provide a home away from home.
Our baby rooms have a homely feel, where babies can feel comfortable and nutured, whilst being stimulated according to a structured curriculum that ensures appropriate development. The development of babies are the foundation of future learning. Every experience is a learning opportunity at this stage and our educators ensure that each child receives individual attention whilst working in close relationship with families.
You will receive daily feedback on your babies day and activities, to ensure that you share in each and every milestone.
2 years to 3 years
Toddlers are energetic little beings – curious about the world around them.
We provide toddlers with experiences, activities and equipment that engage them to explore and discover. This is the age where independence develops strongly. Toddlers at Maragon are valued and respected for this precious age of development.
We aim to provide a calm environment in which they can make choices regarding their learning, whilst gently being guided by educators in especially the social development aspects.
Language, numeracy and science is also introduced at this age through age appropriate sensorial experiences.
3 years to 5 years
Children of this age expand their world continiuously. They are more resceptive to other peoples input and ask questions about everything. This age has many “light bulb” moments.
Maragon follows a specialised Pre-Kindy program. We aim to maximise your child’s learning by extending investigation based on childrens interests and questions, whilst ensuring that language, numeric and scientific development takes place.
Our skilled educators ensure that concepts are learnt in ways that capture the attention of these young minds. Play experiences are skilfully extended into learning experiences, ensuring that learning is at all times a pleasurable exprerience. Our learning areas play a very important role in this age group and ensure that their yong bodies, minds and souls are prepared for the learning journey that awaits them in Kindy.
Please refer to ou Centre list for detail on the age groups cared for at each of our centres.
The Commonwealth Government assists families with their child care expenses. The assitance is based on family income and the number of dependant children.
The following assistance is provided through the Department of Human Services (DHS):
- Child Care Benefit (CCB)
- Child Care Rebate (CCR) – 50% of approved child care expenses, up to $7,500 (indexed) per child per year for eligible families.
The process is as follows:
Step 1 – Lodge your application for CCB and CCR with the Family Assistance Office, through Centrelink, prior to commencing at the Centre;
Step 2 – Obtain a Customer Reference Number (CRN) for both parent and child. This is compulsory for all children, even if you do not intend claiming a benefit or rebate;and
Step 3 – Maragon will notify the Family Assistance Office through the Covernment’s Child Care Management System (CCMS) in order for you to be linked to the service and government contributions to be calculated.
- Centrelink contact number: 136 150
The link below can be used to calculate the rebates and the daily “out of pocket” fees for parents.
